Native SFTP

This entry is used to define and configure a Native SFTP session.

 

The Native SFTP entry offers plain SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) operations.

 

Settings

 

General

Option

Description

Host

Enter the host name or IP address of the device to connect.

Browse...

Provides the list of computers discovered on your network. This can take a few moments to generate.

Port

Click on the link to modify the port number. Set the port to  to use the default port.

Click on the icon to open the Port Generator.

Username

Enter the username to connect to the host.

Password

Enter the password to connect to the host.

Click on the view icon to view your password.

Click on the hide icon to hide your password.

Click on the icon to display the Password Generator.

Always prompt for password

Check this option to be prompted for the password upon every usage of this entry. It also has the effect of preventing the password from being specified.

Directory

Set the initial directory to this value upon connection.

Verbose level

Select the verbose level of information that is displayed in the logging window.

Private key type

Select between:

•No private key

•File

•Data

•Repository

•My personal private key

•Private Vault

Repository

When the repository private key type is selected, the repository option is available. Select the proper repository to use.

Passphrase

Enter the passphrase to connect.

File

Select your file for your private key.

Private Key

Insert your private key data.

Use proxy

Enable this option if you wish to use a proxy server.

Host

Enter the proxy server host name or IP address.
