iTerm

Description

 

iTerm is a full featured terminal emulation program written for OS X.

This entry is used to define and configure an iTerm session.

 

Settings

 

General

OPTION

DESCRIPTION

Connection type

You can choose your connection type between:

Command

Telnet

SSH

Serial

Host

Enter the host to connect.

Port

Enter the port to use to connect to your host.

Username

Enter the username to connect to your host.

Password

Enter the password to connect to your host.

Click on the view icon to view your password.

Click on the hide icon to hide your password.

Click on the icon to display the Password Generator.

Private key

If using SSH enable this option to use a Private Key

Filename

Enter the path of the Private Key file.

Custom commands

If using Command as your connection type enter customs command here.

Port name

If using Serial as your connection type choose the Port name between:

Bluetooth-Modem

Bluetooth-Incoming-Port

Baud rate

Choose the rate at which information will be transferred in a communication channel.

Bits per rate

Choose the number of bits per byte between:

Cursor type

Choose the cursor type between:

Box

Underline

Bar

Blink cursor

Enable this option to make your cursor blink and make it more visible.

Regular font

Choose your preferred font.

Anti aliased

By default the anti-aliased is activated to help smooth the jagged appearance of diagonal lines in a bitmapped image. Disabling this option may alter the quality of your image.

Non-ascii font

Choose your preferred non-ascii font.

 

Console

 

You can personalized the basic and ANSI colors of your Console.

Source port

Enter the source port of your SSH client.

Destination

Enter the destination of your SSH client.

Location

Choose the location between:

Local

Remote

Dynamic

Protocol

Chose the protocol method between:

IPV4

IPV6

Terminal type

Choose your terminal type between:

xterm

Scrollback lines

Set the desired number of scrollback lines allowed in the terminal.

Unlimited scrollback

Allows you an unlimited amount of scrollback lines in the terminal.

Encoding

Select your preferred encoding method.

Silence bell

Enable to mute the bell sound in the terminal.

Set locale variables automatically

Automatically set local variables in your session.

Disconnect when a session ends

Disconnect the session on the remote host when ending your session.

Keep alive

Data will be sent to the remote computer to keep the session alive.

Idle key code

Enter a key code to prevent someone else from connecting to your session when kept alive.

Log sessions

Enable to log your sessions.

Log directory

Enter the path for the log directory.

Delete key sends

When deleting a key it will send a ^H in the terminal

Agent forwarding

Enable to use local SSH keys instead of entering a passphrase every time.

Enable X11 forwarding

Enable to use the X11 forwarding when you SSH into any host allowing it.

Enable xterm mouse reporting

Enable to use the xterm mouse reporting in the terminal.
