How to Use a Typing Macro to Perform Authentication

Sometimes it can be difficult to perform authentication on certain websites. With Remote Desktop Manager for Mac, it's possible to send the credential through a typing macro using variables.

 

Settings

 

1.Edit your Web Browser (HTTP/HTTPS) entry, click on Web Browser (http/https), then on the Login tab, select Autofill and unchecked the Auto submit and Auto fill login options.

2.In the Security section, check the Allow password in variable option. This option need to be checked so that the typing macro can send the password to the remote session.

3.In the Events section, click on the After Connect tab and add the following macro in the Typing Macro section: $USERNAME${TAB}$PASSWORD${ENTER}. You may have to adjust the Initial wait to leave time for the page to load.

Make sure that the cursor is in the appropriate field prior to the macro execution so that the username and password can be sent properly to the website.
